The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
