The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it over and again. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 It will engulf them. 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
