The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
