The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9
