Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
