The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 closed around them 8 In extended columns. 9
