Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Perish the hands of Abu Lahab, and perish he! 1 His wealth did not benefit him in the least, nor did whatever he earned. 2 He shall soon enter a Blazing Fire, 3 together with his wife, that carrier of evil tales, 4 upon her neck shall be a rope of palm-fibre. 5

True are the words of God the Almighty.
