In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
May the hands of Abu Lahab perish, may he be ruined. 1 His wealth and his children (etc.) will not benefit him! 2 [In the life to come] he shall have to endure a fire fiercely glowing; 3 And his wife too, who carries wood (thorns of Sadan which she used to put on the way of the Prophet (Peace be upon him), or use to slander him). 4 Will have upon her neck a halter of palm-fibre. 5
True are the words of God the Almighty.
