Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Perish the hands of the Father of Flame! Perish he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will suffer in a blazing fire 3 And his wife, the bearer of fuel, 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
