And those who disbelieve say: when we have become dust, we and our fathers, shall we, for sooth, be brought forth? 67 "It is true we were promised this,- we and our fathers before (us): these are nothing but tales of the ancients." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 Do not grieve over them, nor feel distressed at their schemes. 70 And they say: when will this Promise be fufilled if ye say sooth? 71 Say: "Perhaps some of what you wish to hasten is right behind you." 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 Your Lord certainly knows whatever their hearts conceal or reveal. 74 And not a thing is there hidden in heaven and earth but it is in a Manifest Book. 75 This Quran tells the Israelites most of the matters about which they had disputes among themselves. 76 And most surely it is a guidance and a mercy for the believers. 77 Certainly your Lord will decide between them in His wisdom, He is the Almighty, the All Knowing, 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Verily, you cannot make the dead to hear (i.e. benefit them and similarly the disbelievers), nor can you make the deaf to hear the call, when they flee, turning their backs. 80 And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [submitting to Allah]. 81 ۞ And when the word befalls them, We will bring forth for them a creature from the earth speaking to them, [saying] that the people were, of Our verses, not certain [in faith]. 82
