VERILY, [O believer,] it is We who have bestowed from on high this Qur'an upon thee, step by step - truly a bestowal from on high! 23 Therefore be patient with constancy to the Command of thy Lord, and hearken not to the sinner or the ingrate among them. 24 and glorify your Lord morning and evening; 25 And during the night prostrate to Him and exalt Him a long [part of the] night. 26 Surely men love what hastes away and forget the grievous day (ahead). 27 [They will not admit to themselves that] it We who have created them and strengthened their make - and [that] if it be Our will We can replace them entirely with others of their kind. 28 Surely this is a Reminder; so he who will, takes unto his Lord a way. 29 But ye will not, except as Allah wills; for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom. 30 He makes whom He pleases to enter into His mercy; and (as for) the unjust, He has prepared for them a painful chastisement. 31
