Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known extent. 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
