Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed time? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
