Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To complete the argument or to warn. 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
