The tree of al-Zaqqum 43 The food of sinners. 44 It is like pitch. It will fume in the belly 45 Like the churning of boiling water. 46 (And it will be said): Take him and drag him to the midst of hell, 47 Then pour unto their heads the boiling water to torment them". 48 [It will be said], "Taste! Indeed, you are the honored, the noble! 49 This is the torment that you persistently doubted". 50 Surely those who guard (against evil) are in a secure place, 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 dressed in silks and brocade, set face to face. 53 So it is; and We have wedded them to maidens with gorgeous eyes. 54 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They taste not death therein, save the first death. And He hath saved them from the doom of hell, 56 an act of thy Sustainer's favour: and that, that will be the triumph supreme! 57 And We have made (this Scripture) easy in thy language only that they may heed. 58 So be on the watch; they too are on the watch. 59
