۞ Then We revealed Our will to Moses, saying, "Set forth with My servants, in the night, for you will surely be pursued." 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 Then they followed them at the sunrise; 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
