Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created thee, then fashioned, then proportioned thee? 7 having put thee together in whatever form He willed [thee to have]? 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 And most surely there are keepers over you 10 The honourable recorders. 11 They know all that you do. 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 And indeed the sinners are in hell. 14 They shall enter it on the day of judgment. 15 And will not be removed from it. 16 And what do you know – of what sort is the Day of Justice! 17 Again, what do you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 [It will be] a Day when no human being shall be of the least avail to another human being: for on that Day [it will become manifest that] all sovereignty is God's alone. 19
