We gave the Book to Moses but people had different views about it. Had the Word of your Lord not been already ordained, He would have settled their differences (there and then). They are still in doubt about this. 110 And verily unto each will thy Lord repay their works in full; verily of that which they work He is Aware. 111 So, you and those who turned to God with you, should walk along the straight path as you have been commanded, and do not transgress, for He verily sees whatsoever you do. 112 And lean not toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire should touch you, and ye have no protectors beside Allah nor ye would then be succoured. 113 And establish thou the prayer at the two ends of the day, and in the neighbouring watches of the night verily virtues take away vices. That is a reminder unto the mindful. 114 Therefore have patience; Allah will not let the wage of the gooddoers go to waste. 115 So why were there not among the generations before you those of enduring discrimination forbidding corruption on earth - except a few of those We saved from among them? But those who wronged pursued what luxury they were given therein, and they were criminals. 116 Yet thy Lord would never destroy the cities unjustly, while as yet their people were putting things right. 117 Had thy Lord willed, He would have made mankind one nation; but they continue in their differences 118 except those upon whom God has granted His mercy. God has created them to receive mercy. The decree of your Lord that He will fill hell with both jinn and human beings has already been ordained. 119 The histories of apostles that We relate to you are (meant) to strengthen your heart. Through them has the truth come to you, and guidance, and reminder to those who believe. 120 And say to those who do not believe: Act according to your state; surely we too are acting. 121 And wait; surely we are waiting also. 122 The knowledge of the secret of the heavens and the earth belongs to God alone, and to Him shall all affairs be referred. So worship Him and put your trust in Him alone. Your Lord is not unaware of what you do. 123
