Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 when the oceans are gushed forth, 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 Each soul shall know that which it sent afore and that which it left behind. 5 O mankind, what has deceived you concerning your Lord, the Generous, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 in whatever composition He wanted. 8 Not at all but rather you deny the establishment of Justice. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 watching over you 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 The pious will surely be in heaven, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 and from it they shall never be absent. 16 And what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 17 How then can you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
