The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their brother Nuh said to them: Will you not guard (against evil)? 106 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 107 be, then, conscious of God, and pay heed unto me! 108 And I ask of you no hire therefor; my hire is but with the Lord of the worlds. 109 Hence, remain conscious of God, and pay heed unto me!" 110 ۞ They replied: 'Are we to believe you whom the lowliest follow' 111 He said: "And what knowledge have I of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I am not going to drive away any believers. 114 I am nothing but a plain warner." 115 They said: "If thou desist not, O Noah! thou shalt be stoned (to death)." 116 He said, 'My Lord, my people have cried me lies, 117 therefore, judge decisively between me and them; and save me and the believers who are with me." 118 So We saved him, and those who were with him in the laden ark, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 121 But surely your Lord is mighty and merciful. 122
