Hizb 46

And Jonah too was one of the Messengers. 139 When he ran away to a ship completely laden, 140 He (agreed to) cast lots, and he was condemned: 141 So the whale swallowed him, for he was blameworthy, 142 and had he not been among those who exalt (Allah), 143 He would have stayed in its belly till the day the dead are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him onto the open shore while he was ill. 145 We made a plant of gourd grow up for him. 146 And We sent him to a hundred thousand (folk) or more 147 and they believed in him: so We let them live in ease for a while. 148 So ask them for a pronouncement -- Has thy Lord daughters, and they sons? 149 Or, did We create the angels females while they were witnessing? 150 Behold, it is one of their fabrications that they say: 151 God hath begotten. Verily they are the liars. 152 Has He chosen daughters above sons? 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Will ye not then reflect? 155 Do you have any clear authority for such claims? 156 Then bring ye your Book (of authority) if ye be truthful! 157 And they have claimed between Him and the jinn a lineage, but the jinn have already known that they [who made such claims] will be brought to [punishment]. 158 God is too glorious for what they ascribe to Him 159 Not (so do) the Servants of Allah, sincere and devoted. 160 So you and your deities 161 shall not be able to tempt anyone away from Allah 162 except him who shall roast in Hell. 163 And there is none of us but has an assigned place, 164 Verily we range ourselves in rows (as humble servants) 165 Lo! we, even we are they who hymn His praise 166 And indeed they (Arab pagans) used to say; 167 Had we but an admonition as had the ancients. 168 "We should certainly have been Servants of Allah, sincere (and devoted)!" 169 They therefore denied it, so they will soon come to know. 170 And assuredly Our word hath already gone forth Our bondmen, the sent ones: 171 [That] indeed, they would be those given victory 172 And that certainly Our armies will be victorious. 173 So turn away (O Muhammad SAW) from them for a while, 174 and see them; soon they shall see! 175 Do they, then, [really] wish that Our chastisement be hastened on? 176 But when it descends into the open space before them, evil will be the morning for those who were warned (and heeded not)! 177 Withdraw from them awhile 178 And wait, for they will soon see. 179 Too glorious is your Lord, the Lord of power, for what they ascribe to Him. 180 And Peace on the messengers! 181 And all praise is to Allah, the Lord Of The Creation. 182
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
