The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The All-merciful 1 Taught the Quran. 2 has created man, 3 and He has taught him the Explanation. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 And observe correct measure, weigh with justice, and not cheat the balance. 9 He has laid out the earth for His creatures. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain chaffed and other food. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created man (Adam) from sounding clay like the clay of pottery. 14 And the jinn did He create of smokeless fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 He is Lord of the two easts and Lord of the two wests. 17 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 23 His are the ships with elevated sails upon the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25
