Say thou: I am but warner, and there is no god but Allah, the One, the Subduer. 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: "That is a Message Supreme (above all),- 67 "From which ye do turn away! 68 I had no knowledge of the chiefs on high when they disputed; 69 I am told (about matters) by means of revelation only because I am a clear warner.” 70 When thy Lord said unto the angels: Lo! I am about to create a mortal out of mire, 71 after I have shaped him and breathed of My spirit (I created) into him, fall down prostrate before him' 72 So all the angels prostrated, every one, without exception. 73 save Iblis: he gloried in his arrogance, and [thus] became one of those who deny the truth. 74 Said Allah, “O Iblis! What prevented you from prostrating before one whom I have created with My hands*? Have you become proud or were you haughty from the beginning?” (Used as a metaphor). 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 "Begone! You are accursed: 77 and My rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 78 Satan said: “My Lord, then grant me respite till the Day that they are raised up.” 79 Said Allah, “You are therefore among those given respite.” 80 "Till the Day of the time appointed." 81 He said: by Thy majesty, then, I shall surely seduce them, all. 82 except Your sincere servants among them". 83 Said Allah, “So this is the truth; and I speak only the truth.” – 84 [That] I will surely fill Hell with you and those of them that follow you all together." 85 Say (Prophet Muhammad): 'For this I ask of you no wage, and I am not of those who take things upon themselves. 86 This is only a warning for mankind. 87 You will certainly know its truthfulness after a certain time. 88
