▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
There are two gardens for one who fears standing before his Lord. 46 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 47 [two gardens] of many wondrous hues. 48 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 49 In the two gardens there will be two flowing springs. 50 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 51 In which will be of every fruit two kinds. 52 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 53 [In such a paradise the blest will dwell,] reclining upon carpets lined with rich brocade; and the fruit of both these gardens will be within easy reach. 54 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 55 Therein shall be those of refraining looks whom before them hath deflowered neither man nor jinn. 56 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 57 Like unto Rubies and coral. 58 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 59 Shall the recompense of goodness be other than goodness? 60 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 61 And besides these shall be two gardens -- 62 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny?- 63 Of darkest verdant green -- 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 Wherein are two abundant springs. 66 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 67 In which will be the fruit, date-palms and pomegranates. 68 How many favours of your Lord will then both of you deny? -- 69 In them are goodly things, beautiful ones. 70 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 71 Fair ones, close-guarded in pavilions - 72 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 73 There hath deflowered them neither man nor jinn. 74 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 77 Blessed be the name of your Lord, the Lord of Majesty and Glory. 78
