The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 there will be nought that could give the lie to its having come to pass, 2 abasing [some,] exalting [others]! 3 When the earth is shaken with convulsion 4 and the mountains crumbled 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 Thus, there shall be such as will have attained to what is right: oh, how [happy] will be they who have attained to what is right! 8 The people of the left hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their left hands. How miserable they will be! 9 And the Outstrippers, the Outstrippers 10 It is they who are the close ones. 11 They will dwell in the Gardens of Bliss: 12 A number of people from those of old, 13 And a few from the latter. 14 upon close-wrought couches 15 Reclining thereon, face to face. 16 There shall go round unto them youths ever-young. 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 They shall not be affected with headache thereby, nor shall they get exhausted, 19 and such fruits as they shall choose, 20 And the flesh of fowls, any that they may desire. 21 They will have maidens with large, lovely black and white eyes, 22 The likes unto pearls hidden. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Only the saying, "Peace! Peace". 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 They will live amid the thornless lot trees 28 Among Talh (banana-trees) with fruits piled one above another, 29 and extended shade, 30 And water poured out 31 And fruit, abundant [and varied], 32 never-ending and unrestricted, 33 They shall be on upraised couches, 34 Indeed, We have produced the women of Paradise in a [new] creation 35 and made them virgins, 36 chastely amorous, 37 For those on the right. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
