The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the heaven adorned with big stars. 1 And by the Day promised, 2 and by the witness (Muhammad) and that which is witnessed (the Day of Judgment), 3 destroyed were the people of the trench, 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they sat by it, 6 And they were witnesses of what they did with the believers. 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 To Him only belongs the kingship of the heavens and the earth; and Allah is a Witness over all things. 9 Indeed those who troubled the Muslim men and Muslim women, and then did not repent – for them is the punishment of hell, and for them is the punishment of fire. 10 As for those who believed and acted righteously, theirs shall be Gardens beneath which rivers flow. That is the great triumph. 11 Surely the might of your Lord is great. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 And He alone is truly-forgiving, all-embracing in His love, 14 Lord of the Throne, the All-glorious, 15 He does what He intends (or wills). 16 Did the story of the armies reach you? 17 Of the Fir'awn and the Thamud? 18 Nay, but those who disbelieve live in denial 19 but all the while God encompasses them [with His knowledge and might] without their being aware of it. 20 In fact it (what they deny) is the Noble Qur’an. 21 inscribed on a well-guarded Tablet. 22
