▼ 74 The Hidden Secret
Al-Muddath-thir 2 of 2
Yes, never!* By oath of the moon. (Hell will never spare the disbelievers). 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the morn when it dawns! 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 A warning to mortals, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 [On the Day of Judgment,] every human being will be held in pledge for whatever [evil] he has wrought 38 Except the people of the right hand, 39 In gardens they will ask one another 40 And (ask) of the Sinners: 41 "What led you into Hell Fire?" 42 They said, “We never used to offer the prayer.” 43 “Nor used to feed the needy.” 44 We indulged and persisted in useless disputes, 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 Until the certainty (of death) had come upon us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 What is then the matter with them, that they turn away from the admonition 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Never! In fact they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 No indeed; surely it is a Reminder; 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 But they will not benefit from it unless Allah Himself so wills. He is worthy to be feared; and He is worthy to forgive (those that fear Him). 56
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
