The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven is split asunder, 1 And obeys its Lord and it must. 2 And when the earth is spread out. 3 and casts forth what is in it, and voids itself, 4 obeying its Lord, as it must do! 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 Then as for he who is given his record in his right hand, 7 He will be judged with an easy account 8 and shall return to his people joyfully. 9 And as to him who is given his book behind his back, 10 He surely will invoke destruction 11 And [enter to] burn in a Blaze. 12 He once lived among his family joyfully; 13 and had thought that they would never be brought back to life again. 14 Yes! Verily, his Lord has been ever beholding him! 15 So by oath of the late evening’s light. 16 and the night, and what it [step by step] unfolds, 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 That ye shall journey on from plane to plane. 19 So, what is the matter with them that they do not believe, 20 And when the Qur'an is recited to them, they do not prostrate [to Allah]? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 And Allah knows best what they hide, 23 So give them tidings of a painful punishment, 24 Except those who believe and do good; for them is a reward that shall never be cut off. 25
