The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man look - from what is he created. 5 He is created of water pouring forth, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth splitting (with plants); 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 As for them, they are but plotting a scheme, 15 and I am cunningly devising. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
True are the words of God the Almighty.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
