The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

The event that terrifies the hearts! 1 What is the Calamity? 2 And what will make you comprehend what the terrible calamity is? 3 The day when men will be like scattered moths. 4 and the mount-ains like tufts of carded wool. 5 Those whose good deeds will weigh heavier (on the scale) 6 shall live in a life which is pleasing, 7 But as for one whose scales are light, 8 He is in the lap of one that abases. 9 How will you comprehend what that is? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
