Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

DOOMED are the hands of him of the glowing countence: and doomed is he! 1 Of no avail shall be his wealth, nor what he has acquired. 2 He will soon enter the flaming fire. 3 And his wife, the portress of fire wood, 4 Will have a strap of fibre rope around her neck. 5

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
