▼ 21 The Prophets
Al-Anbyaa' 7 of 7
Then whosoever does righteous works, while believing, his striving will not go unappreciated. We record them all for him. 94 Hence, it has been unfailingly true of any community whom We have ever destroyed that they [were people who] would never turn back [from their sinful ways] 95 Until when [the dam of] Gog and Magog has been opened and they, from every elevation, descend 96 the while the true promise [of resurrection] draws close [to its fulfillment]. But then, lo! the eyes of those who [in their lifetime] were bent on denying the truth will stare in horror, [and they will exclaim:] "Oh, woe unto us! We were indeed heedless of this [promise of resurrection]! - nay, we were [bent on] doing evil!" 97 [Then they will be told:] "Verily, you and all that you [were wont to] worship instead of God are but the fuel of hell: that is what you are destined for. 98 Had these indeed been gods they would not have gone there. But (as it is), all of you shall ever abide in it." 99 They will bray in it and not be able to hear anything in it. 100 But as for those unto whom already the reward most fair has gone forth from Us, 101 They shall not hear the least sound thereof, and in that felicity which their souls desire they shall be abiders. 102 The Great Terror shall grieve them not, and the angels will meet them: this is Your Day which ye were ever promised 103 On that Day We shall roll up the skies as written scrolls are rolled up; [and] as We brought into being the first creation, so We shall bring it forth anew - a promise which We have willed upon Ourselves: for, behold, We are able to do [all things]! 104 AND, INDEED, after having exhorted [man,] We laid it down in all the books of divine wisdom that My righteous servants shall inherit the earth: 105 This Qur’an is sufficient for people who are devout. 106 We sent thee not, but as a Mercy for all creatures. 107 Say: 'It is revealed unto me only that your God is One God; do you then surrender?' 108 But if they turn back, say: I have given you warning in fairness and I do not know whether what you are threatened with is near or far; 109 Indeed He knows what you say loudly and what you hide. 110 "I know not but that it may be a trial for you, and a grant of (worldly) livelihood (to you) for a time." 111 He saith: my Lord! judge Thou with truth. And our Lord is the Compassionate Whose help is to be sought against that which ye utter. 112

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
