When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 Moreover, they keep a grave charge [pending] against me, and I fear that they will slay me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. Then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me one of the messengers. 21 Is this then the blessing with which you reproach me, that you have the Children of Israel for worshipers' 22 Pharaoh said, "What is this: Lord of the Universe?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 Pharaoh said, "This messenger who has been sent to you is surely possessed!" 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Pharaoh said, "If you take any deity other than myself, I will throw you into prison," 29 and Moses asked, "Even if I show you a clear sign?" 30 Pharaoh said, "Show it then, if you are telling the truth!" 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
