And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (Allah said to him): "Strike the ground with your foot: This is a spring of water to wash in, cool and a (refreshing) drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 And We said, “Take a broom in your hand and strike her with it, and do not break your vow”; We indeed found him patiently enduring; what an excellent bondman! He is indeed most inclined. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 We distinguished them for the distinct remembrance of the abode (of the Hereafter). 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 Remember [Our servants] Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu'l-Kifl. Each of them was among the just. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 wherein they shall recline, wherein they shall ask for abundant fruit and drinks, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 This is what you, [the righteous], are promised for the Day of Account. 53 Truly such will be Our Bounty (to you); it will never fail;- 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, which they will [enter to] burn, and wretched is the resting place. 56 Here is a boiling and an ice-cold draught, so let them taste it, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 (We shall say to their leaders): 'This is a troop rushing in with you, there is no welcome for them, they shall roast in the Fire' 59 They will reply: “Rather, no welcome to you. (You will roast in Hell.) It is you who led us to this end. What an evil resort!” 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Is it that we mistakenly made fun of them; or have they disappeared from our sight?” 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
