And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or do they say, 'We are a congregation that shall be succoured?' 44 (Let them know that) this united group will soon run away in defeat. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 The evil-doers are indeed sunk in error and folly -- 47 On the Day when they shall be dragged into the fire on their faces, [they will be told:] "Taste now the touch of hell-fire!" 48 We have indeed created all things by a proper measure. 49 And Our commandment shall be but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have indeed destroyed your kind, so is there one who would ponder? 51 All their deeds are in the Scrolls, 52 Every small or great deed is written down. 53 Surely those who fear God and follow the straight path will be amidst gardens and light, 54 in a sure abode, in the presence of a King Omnipotent. 55
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
End of Surah: The Moon (Al-Qamar). Sent down in Mecca after The Comet (Al-Taareq) before S (Saad)
