Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah) before The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection. 1 No! I swear by the reproachful soul. 2 Does man think that We cannot assemble his bones? 3 Yea, verily. We are Able to restore his very fingers! 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asketh: When will be this Day of Resurrection? 6 Yet when the eyes are dazzled, 7 And the moon will be eclipsed, 8 And the sun and the moon will be united. 9 Man will say on that Day, "Where is the [place of] escape?" 10 Never so, for there will be no escape. 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 Nay! man is evidence against himself, 14 And even if he presents all the excuses he has, none will be listened to. 15 MOVE NOT thy tongue in haste, [repeating the words of the revelation:] 16 We shall be responsible for its collection and its recitation. 17 So, when We recite it, follow thou its recitation. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 NAY, but [most of] you love this fleeting life, 20 And leave the Hereafter. 21 Some faces will on that Day be bright with happiness, 22 Looking to their Lord. 23 And countenances on that Day shall be scowling. 24 Thinking that some calamity was about to fall on them; 25 Yes indeed, when the soul will reach up to the throat. 26 And it is cried. who can charm? 27 and he thinks that it is the parting 28 and leg is intertwined with leg, 29 upon that Day the driving shall be to your Lord. 30

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
