Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To clear or to warn. 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 and yellow camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
