The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those (angels) that pluck out the soul from depths, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and vie with the others (in carrying out their Lord's behests); 4 by the managers (angels) affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 There will follow it the subsequent [one]. 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 (The disbelievers) say, "Shall we be brought back to life again 10 What! when we are rotten bones? 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Hath there come unto thee the history of Moses? 15 Lo! His Sustainer called out to him in the twice-hallowed valley: 16 saying, "Go to the Pharaoh. He has transgressed beyond all bounds. 17 "And say to him, 'Wouldst thou that thou shouldst be purified (from sin)?- 18 and that I should guide thee to thy Lord, then thou shalt fear?"' 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 and gathered his people together 23 Yet to a rich man, 24 you pay attention 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
