Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
