The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And by those who glide along (on errands of mercy), 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 And direct affairs by command, 5 On the Day the blast [of the Horn] will convulse [creation], 6 to be followed by further [convulsions]! 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 and their eyes will be humbled. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 Even if we should be decayed bones? 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 Surely they will need no more than a single stern blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has the story of Moses reached thee? 15 When his Lord called to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But he denied and disobeyed, 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So God seized him for the punishment of the Hereafter and this world. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
