He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 But what could tell thee but that perchance he might grow (in spiritual understanding)?- 3 (He might) remember, and the Reminder might profit him. 4 Yet you pay attention 5 you attended to him, 6 And not upon you [is any blame] if he will not be purified. 7 But as for him who cometh unto thee with earnest purpose 8 and fears (Allah), 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 No indeed, this is a Reminder; 11 Let him who will, pay heed to it. 12 upon highly honored pages, 13 Exalted, pure. 14 Written by the hands of emissaries. 15 and angelic scribes. 16 Perish man! how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what thing did He create him? 18 Of a small seed; He created him, then He made him according to a measure, 19 Then doth He make His path smooth for him; 20 Then He causes him to die and be buried. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay; but he has not done what He bade him. 23 So let man just consider his food: 24 how We pour down rain in abundance, 25 Then We split the earth properly. 26 to yield therein corn, 27 and grape vines and vegetables, 28 Olives and dates, 29 And garden-closes of thick foliage 30 and fruits and fodder 31 [As] enjoyment for you and your grazing livestock. 32 But when the great calamity comes 33 On the day when a man fleeth from his brother 34 And from his mother and father, 35 And from his wife and his children. 36 Each man will have enough cares that day. 37 Some faces will shine, 38 Laughing, rejoicing at good news (of Paradise). 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Dust shall cover them 41 Those, they are the unbelievers, the immoral. 42
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
