The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 and when all human beings are coupled [with their deeds,] 7 when the buried female infant is asked 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 and when the scrolls of (men's) deeds shall be unfolded, 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when Paradise is brought near. 13 (Then) every soul will know what it hath made ready. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 And by the night when it departeth, 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily it is a Word brought by a messenger honoured, 19 Mighty, established in the presence of the Lord of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 Your companion (Muhammad) does not suffer from any mental illness 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Where then are you going? 26 It is not except a reminder to the worlds 27 for whosoever of you who would go straight; 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
