The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven breaks apart. 1 And listens and obeys its Lord, and it must do so; 2 when the earth is stretched out 3 And casts forth what is in it and becomes empty, 4 in obedience to the commands of its Lord which are incumbent on it, (the human being will receive due recompense for his deeds). 5 O man, having striven hard towards your Lord, you shall meet Him: 6 And he who is given his ledger in his right hand 7 He truly will receive an easy reckoning 8 And he shall return unto his people joyfully. 9 but as for him whose record shall be given to him from behind his back, 10 he will pray for utter destruction 11 And he will enter a Blazing Fire. 12 Verily, he was among his people in joy! 13 thinking he would never revert (to Us). 14 Yes indeed, his Lord was ever watching him. 15 No! I swear by the twilight 16 And by oath of the night and all that gathers in it. 17 and the moon when it is at the full, 18 that you shall surely ride from stage to stage. 19 What is wrong with them that they do not believe? 20 And when the Quran is recited to them they do not make obeisance? ۩ 21 But those who have disbelieved deny, 22 Allah knows best what they are accumulating (in their Record). 23 So give them good tidings of a painful chastisement, 24 Save those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them is a reward that will never come to an end (i.e. Paradise). 25
