Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Have you heard the story of the overwhelming event (the Day of Judgment)? 1 On that Day faces shall be humbled, 2 Working [hard] and exhausted. 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 The while they are given, to drink, of a boiling hot spring, 5 They will have no food except bitter thorn, 6 which will neither nourish nor satisfy hunger. 7 However, on that day the faces of other people will be happy. 8 Glad with their endeavour (for their good deeds which they did in this world, along with the true Faith of Islamic Monotheism). 9 in a garden sublime, 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Therein will be a running spring, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 and goblets set at hand, 14 well-placed cushions, 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Have they not looked at how the camel is created, 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 how the mountains are set firm, 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Remind them, for thou art but a remembrancer, 21 You are not charged to oversee them. 22 Other than him who turns his back and denies, 23 Allah will punish them with the greatest punishment. 24 Truly, to Us is their return; 25 then upon Us shall rest their reckoning. 26
God Almighty has spoken the truth.

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
