The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the sun and its heat and brightness, 1 And by the moon as it follows it (the sun); 2 And [by] the day when it displays it 3 And by oath of the night when it hides it 4 The heavens and its architecture, 5 And the earth and Him Who spread it, 6 And by oath of the soul and by oath of Him Who made it proper. 7 and imbued it with (the consciousness of) its evil and its piety: 8 those who purify their souls will certainly have everlasting happiness 9 and those who corrupt their souls will certainly be deprived (of happiness). 10 The tribe of Thamud denied with rebellion. 11 when the most wicked of them broke forth, 12 the Messenger of Allah said to them: '(This is) the shecamel of Allah, let her drink' 13 In response they belied him, and hamstrung the she camel – so Allah put ruin over them because of their sins and flattened their dwellings. 14 He has no fear of its sequel. 15
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
