The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 And they used to hew out dwellings from the hills, (wherein they dwelt) secure. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 And what they earned did not avail them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Verify thy Lord! He is the Great Creator, the Knower. 86 And We have bestowed upon thee the Seven Oft-repeated (verses) and the Grand Qur'an. 87 Cast not thine eyes toward that which We have let classes of them to enjoy; and grieve not over them, and lower thy wing unto the believers. 88 and say, "I am, indeed, a plain warner," 89 (We have given you the Quran) as We had given (the Bible) to those who divided themselves into groups 90 (So also on such) as have made Qur'an into shreds (as they please). 91 But, by thy Sustainer! [On the Day of Judgment] We shall indeed call them to account, one and all, 92 About all what they used to do. 93 Therefore declare openly what you are bidden and turn aside from the polytheists. 94 We are surely sufficient to deal with those who scoff at you, 95 Who make [equal] with Allah another deity. But they are going to know. 96 We certainly know that their statements sorely grieve you. 97 Therefore proclaim the Purity of your Lord with praise, and be of those who prostrate. 98 Worship your Lord till the certainty (death) comes to you. 99
