The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

When the earth is shaken with her (violent) shaking, 1 And the earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 That day it will narrate its annals, 4 Because thy Lord will inspire her. 5 On that day men will return towards their Lord, in different groups, in order to be shown their deeds. 6 Then shall anyone who has done an atom's weight of good, see it! 7 And whosoever hath worked ill of an atom's weight shall behold it. 8

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
