And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning. 41 They cried lies to Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with the seizing of One mighty, omnipotent. 42 Are your disbelievers (O Quraish!) better than these [nations of Nuh (Noah), Lout (Lot), Salih (Saleh), and the people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh), etc., who were destroyed]? Or have you an immunity (against Our Torment) in the Divine Scriptures? 43 Or they say, “We shall all take revenge as a group.” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 In fact, the Hour of Doom is the time for them to suffer. The suffering of this hour is the most calamitous and the most bitter (of all suffering). 46 for, behold, those who are lost in sin [will at that time come to know that it is they who] were sunk in error and folly! 47 On the day when they shall be dragged upon their faces into the fire; taste the touch of hell. 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 And Our command is only a fleeting one – like the batting of an eyelid. 50 We have indeed destroyed many a people like you. Is there anyone who would receive admonition? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 in a seat of truth, in the presence of a Sovereign who determines all things. 55
