Thorns (Al-Masad)

5 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Key (Al-Faatehah) before The Rolling (Al-Takweer)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

The power of Abu Lahab will perish, and he will perish. 1 His substance availed him not, nor that which he earned. 2 He will be roasted in the fire, 3 His wife shall carry the (crackling) wood - As fuel!- 4 [who bears] around her neck a rope of twisted strands! 5

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
