Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
